Product description: ISO Hypercoat
ISO Hypercoat
Hypercoat waterstop is a waterproof rendering for outdoor weather-proofi ng of
houses: Fla roofs, walls, roofs, fences, etc…
Hypercoat waterstop is a semi-thick, ready-to-use water-based Hybrid Alfa Silicone/
Rubber product. Durability of up to 20 years.
Hypercoat waterstop is applied in one or several coats on the surface and cures to
form a fi lm with outstanding strength and elasticity which neither peels nor cracks.
Hypercoat waterstop has excellent resistance to ageing and ultra-violet radiance.
Particular properties: Hypercoat waterstop is a semi-thick product, and can
therefore be applied using a paintbrush, a roller or a spatula, and by spraying.
Hypercoat waterstop off ers primerless adhesion on a wide variety of building and
roofi ng surfaces such as: metal, wood (treated or untreated), bitumen coating, tile,
concrete, Bitumen Coating, EPDM, TPO …
Hypercoat waterstop has high elasticity even under climatic variations. It does not
harden under cold conditions. It is therefore unnecessary to use reinforcing tape in
most cases.
Hypercoat waterstop has very high stability to temperature variations (from
–55°C to +160°C), to UV radiation and to external chemical a ack. Due to its water
based technology, Hypercoat waterstop has a number of remarkable properties
making it an outstanding product:
Quick and easy to use (without heating or bonding): tools are cleaned with water.
- Odourless drying and curing without release of chemicals.
- Application possible on damp surfaces.
- On a cleaned surface 1 layer is enough
- Environment friendly
Applications:
Iso Hypercoat can be used to weatherproof:
- Cracked and broken building materials.
- Chimney stacks.
- Corrugated or plate roofi ng materials: zinc, steel, fi bro-cement, concrete, EPDM and TPO
- Façade and roofi ng panels against water infi ltration.
- Zinc gutt ering, down-pipes, ventilation ducts.
- Wooden fences, garden sheds.
Processing Surface preparation:
The surfaces must be clean, and free from dust, grease and any substance which
may aff ect product adhesion. All loose materials must be removed by brushing,
scraping, HyperCleaner or with high pressure water. New concrete and mortars
must be at least 28 days old.
Product application
Mix the product well before using. Iso HyperCoat is applied using a brush, roller or
spatula, and by spraying in either one or more coats. Excess uncured product and tools
should be cleaned with water.
Drying and curing:
The product can be considered tack free 3 hours a er its application (at a temperature
of 22°C and a relative humidity of 55%). In that case, Hypercoat waterstop is capable
of resisting heavy rain without any consequences. However, if it rains too hard and
too quickly a er application, the la er will still be partly water dispersible and may be
washed away in the run-off .
Painting:
A pre-test is recommended on a small surface.
Consumption:
Consumption can vary per coat from 0.5 to 1.2 kg/m2 according to surface porosity and
roughness and according to the nature of the parts to be treated.
For a 1 mm coat, the consumption is 1.2 l/m2.
Limits of use:
Hypercoat waterstop should not be used when temperatures less than 0°C are expected
in the 24 hours following application.
The higher the air hygrometry and the lower the temperature, the slower Hypercoat
waterstop dries. This means that during periods of high humidity, it is recommended
not to apply one coat on top of another until the previous one has fully dried.
Hypercoat waterstop is not recommended on materials where migration of components
can take place.
Iso HyperCoat Waterstop are not recommended for repair work in ponds or swimming
pools.
