Isonit Non Reflective

Isonit - Iso Paint Nordic Fibercement

Product description:
Isonit Non Reflective is a water dilutable roof coating based on acrylic dispersions.

Product properties and use:
Isonit Non Reflective is especially suitable for cratered roofs of fibre cement. The special paint spreads the reflection of the sunlight resulting in the surface looking more even matt instead of appearing faded and pale.

The coating flows well, has high covering strength, good adhesion abilities, and creates a good strong water-repellent surface.

Not usable on clay tiles and natural slate.

The practical spreading rate depends on application method, form and surface of the material.

Pre-treatment/cleaning:
The roof must be cleaned thoroughly using high-pressure and Iso A-Clean. Fibre cement roofs have to be primed with Eternit Primer in order to obtain a sustainable surface (see TDS).

The surface must be clean, dry, and sustainable.

Stirring:
The coating must be stirred before use.

Dilution:
Normally, to be used undiluted. On concrete tiles dilute with 10-15 % water when applying first layer.

Application temperature:
The temperature must be between 8° C and 30° C, and
Application method:
Brush, roller, or airless, nozzles 19 – 21, 180 – 220 bar.
To ensure the right layer thickness, apply the paint in two layers, each with a layer thickness of 200 – 250 µm.

If Eternit Primer is used, the right layer thickness can be obtained with only one topcoat (min 200 µm).

Always make a test coat to ensure the compatibility of product and surface.

It is recommended to maintain coated roofs with a treatment with Iso A-Clean every second year – in order to keep the surface nice and clean.
