ISO Silicone Façade Paint is a water-dilutable silicone paint based on quality silicone
binders into which special colour pigments and micronized marble are mixed in such
a proportion that the surface and coating film becomes extremely diffusion-open for
vapour and moisture from within, but shuts out water and moisture from the outside.
In addition, the silicone binder gives the façade painting an incredibly long life span
with keeping qualities of up to 20 years, and even after many years the surface will look
elegant and well-kept.

Usage:

Used on new and previously painted surfaces on mineral bases such as plaster, water
scrubbed surfaces, concrete, sand-lime bricks, fibrous cement, cellular concrete, etc.
New surfaces:
It is important that the surface to be painted with ISF is thoroughly dry; in particular, additives
are often added to new concrete elements so that the surface dries and hardens
for up to 6-8 weeks due to the risk for microscopic fissures, etc. Furthermore, during
this period, form oil, additives and carbonates could bee pressed out from the concrete
to the surface. Consequently, prior to painting, the surface should be cleaned with a
stiff scrubbing brush/steel brush or be stripped with a high-pressure cleaner in order to
obtain a paintable surface. Other entirely new surfaces should also be allowed to harden
and dry before being painted over. When applying two coats of ISF, it may be advisable
to dilute the first application with up to 5% water in order to achieve even better adhesion
to the subsurface.
Previously painted surfaces:
Older mineral surfaces that have previously been treated with a paint or lime should be
stripped very thoroughly of loose paint and crazing/loose flakes. This cleaning/stripping
should be effected using a scrubbing brush or steel brush, a high-pressure cleaner
with warm water or water-sand blasting. Loose plaster and concrete surfaces should be
removed, while any exposed reinforcing rods, etc must be rust-proofed before performing
repairs with suitable mortar or concrete plaster. Remember that it is important to
produce an optimal substratum before applying ISF as no paint is stronger than the surface
onto which it is applied. Please note that for colours or toned mixtures, you should
continuously mix the half from one bucket to that of the next bucket so that the risk for
overlapping and colour differences is avoided.
ISF special properties:
ISF is easy to apply using a brush, roller or paint spray gun (nozzle size 0.018 - 0.026")
and is incredibly diffusion-open, while at the same time water repellent to shut out rain
and moisture from the outside. The special silicone binder prevents it from becoming
decomposed and its UV stability protects colour pigments, etc. the rays of the sun. The
very robust structure and hygrostability of ISO Silicone Façade Paint causes the paint to
retain its purity even in towns and industrial areas with severe air pollution from acidic
gases such as sulphur dioxide. The product can be used on the aforementioned surfaces
without any form of priming or pre-treatment other than slight dilution with water during
the first application. If you apply ISF to a sustainable, correctly treated surface, you
will obtain a fine and elegantly painted façade with a durability of up to 20 years.

Technical Data:

Structure: Water-based quality silicone binders, light-stable pigments and micronized
