Metal OneCoat

Product description:

Isoxyde is a hydrophobic, water dilutable thick layer paint based on a combination of acrylic and styrene polymers. The product contains zinc phosphate.

Product properties and use:

Isoxyde is used as protection against or prevention of corrosion and rust on different materials such as iron, aluminium, zinc, or galvanized surfaces. It also adheres well to old plastisol plates, polyester and old alkyd surfaces.

Isoxyde is easy to apply, flows well and has high covering strength.

The hydrophobic abilities ensure that the coating is resistant to white spots when affected by water. The coating shows outstanding chemical resistance, weather stability, and freeze-thaw resistance.

The high content of corrosion protecting pigments ensures an effective protection against corrosion. Applicable in layer thicknesses up to 400 µm without any risk of running paint. Very fast curing.

The coating is very flexible, ensuring that it will not crack when applied in high layer thicknesses.

Isoxyde can also be used as a primer.

Water dilutable coating based on acrylic and styrene polymers.

Standard colours: black, anthracite grey dark, light grey, white, swedish red and dark brown. Other colours are available on demand.

Packaging sizes:

Dry content:

Approx. 47 weight %, approx. 35 vol. %

8 - 10 at 60°

Cross cut:

GT 0 – 100 % on steel

GT 0 – 100 % on galvanized steel

Spreading rate:

2,5 – 5 m2/l

  Theoretical spreading rate

400 µm

170 µm

The practical spreading rate depends on application method, form and surface of the material.

Clean previously painted surfaces with high-pressure sluicing using water, possibly combined with Universal Cleaner in order to remove oil and grease.

If Isoxyde is used on galvanized steel, the surface must be polished and cleaned before application.

Treat corroded surfaces with RustConverter before application. The surface must be clean, dry, and sustainable.

The coating must be stirred before use.

Normally, to be used undiluted. The viscosity may be adjusted downwards when thinning with max. 10 % water.

Application temperature:

The temperature must be between 8° C and 30° C, and 85 % RH.

Application method:

Spray, roller, or airless, nozzle sizes 19, 21

To ensure the right layer thickness, apply the paint in two layers, each with a layer thickness of 200 – 250 µm.

Always make a test coat to ensure the compatibility of product and surface.

Drying time:

Laboratory tests

Wet layer thickness 200 - 250 µm

20° C / 65 % RH

Thouch dry, after

3 hours

Recoatable, after

24 hours

Fully cured

48 hours

The drying time and time for recoating depend on layer thickness, temperature, relative air humidity, and air circulation.

Cleaning of equipment:

Water and soap

Cool, protected from frost, in tightly closed packaging, and out of reach of children

No spillage into drains, to be disposed of at the local recycling centre
