Description:
ISO Metal Primer WB is a water-dilutable and corrosion
inhibiting primer based on modified alkyd resin,
which has been specially developed for this purpose.
This product also contains corrosion inhibiting
pigments on a zinc-phosphate basis, plus opaque
pigments.
Properties:
ISO Metal Primer WB has the following properties,
amongst others, due to its unique composition:
- Good adhesion on steel, pre-coated steel plates,
etc.
- Effective corrosion protection.
- Fast drying.
- Water resistance is already achieved after
approx. 4 hours drying at 20° C.
- Can be painted over with water-dilutable paints
such as ISONIT roof paints (all types and degrees
of gloss) and solvent containing paints, such
as, for example ISO Metal Topcoat.
Application:
ISO Metal Primer WB can be applied to steel plates
and pre-coated facade slabs, such as, for example
on PVC or polyester coated steel in need of a colour
refresh.
In addition, the product can also be used to prime
steel – both for the indoors and the outdoors
area.
Before applying the ISO Metal Primer WB, the base
must be cleaned thoroughly with a high-pressure
cleaner so that all dirt, grease, loose rust particles
and paint are removed.
